Protecting your employees from influenza (flu) - especially during the winter months - is something your business should seriously consider.
The flu vaccine is an extremely effective way of reducing the chances of your employees getting flu, or its seriousness should they still catch it.
Flu could cause employees to be bed-bound for at least two weeks, meaning they are absent from work for an extended period of time. The flu jab can help to prevent this, protecting both your employees and the productivity of your business. BHSF can arrange for a pop-up clinic to visit your organisation to administer the jabs, meaning your employees are only away from their desks for ten minutes, rather than being off sick for ten days. The Flu jab takes 12 weeks to become fully effective, so if given in the Autumn, it will cover your staff until early Spring.
Flu jabs are also important for people at risk of complications caused by underlying medical problems, including asthma, diabetes, heart disease and lung disease, and can be given safely at any stage of pregnancy.
In all cases, BHSF Occupational Health will:
- Assess the individual's relevant health history
- Administer the jab in line with Patient Group Directives
- Issue documentary evidence of immunisation status for all individuals processed
